Angela M. Hessler
Angela has worked in academia and industry and now is the director of DTI. She received her PhD from the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Stanford University, studying some of Earth's oldest geological evidence of atmospheric and surface conditions in the Barberton Greenstone Belt of South Africa. She was a professor at Grand Valley State University before moving to Chevron's Energy Technology Company, where she did exploration geology and research on geophysical imaging. Her research interests are in paleoclimatology, basin studies, sediment transport, and tectonics. She has wide-ranging experience with STEM K-16 education.
